Arrival: Run faster!

Koda jumped as his mom suddenly rocketed over the arena fence, shifted. He had been warming up The Escapist to get him ready for a dressage show. "KODA, GET OUT," she roared, shifting back only to open the arena gate. "They messed up, Koda. They didn't cure cancer, they just brought back the dead." Her words chilled him, an he didn't argue as he turned the stallion towards the gate and kicked him into a trot. He paused by the gate, "What about everyone else?" Sara looked up, shifting back. "They've already gotten the other horses and they're heading towards Manhattan. I came to get you, because we need to evacuate. The disease spreads quickly." Koda nodded and asked Escapist for a lope. His mom quickly followed him, and they deserted the ranch.

After they encountered a group of zombies, The Escapist spooked and the trio rocketed down the dirt road. Passing a graveyard, Koda shuddered as more zombies came, their hands breaking through the earth and reaching at the sky. He hadn't realized he slowed down until Sara growled at him, brushing past. "Focus. We won't make it if you keep getting distracted."
